What exactly are you into? What is your business all about?

My business is about promoting the Global Black Diaspora in our God given Image to embrace it fully.

Please, can our readers get to know you?

Yes they can!

What inspired you to get started with DiasporAfri?

I noticed that as proud and accomplished as we can be as black people, we still hide behind the image of what white people think is acceptable. I want us to have full confidence in ourselves from our physical image, to or culture, to our God given gifts.

What is your educational background?

Masters in Africana Studies

What are your motivations?’

To help the Global Black Diaspora love ourselves fully despite what society says.

What advice do you have for other people who want to do this same thing?

I would say it has to start with love of self and truly seeking out truth no matter the cost.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

At home with my future husband & children running my business.

Any present or future projects?

Right now I’m just building my brand & working on being booked to speak at events.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve experienced in your business as a person of color?

People want my business to be validated by western standards before taking it seriously. I understand there is a standard way about things, but I don’t need thousands of followers to feel validated in my gift.

Also, because I promote Black Love, people think my message promotes anti (whatever) when my motivation doesn’t come from rejection of anything, it comes from pure love.

Are you Married or Single?

Not married yet!

How can we connect with you on social media?

What is your greatest accomplishment?

Fully loving myself and watching that love come back to me in all forms.

As a person of color, what advice will you give someone starting their own business or career?

I would say that your gift is yours to define, not anyone else’s. Make sure those giving you feedback are giving constructive feedback not just pointing out the negative.

Don’t force it, take a break if you need to. It is not a race, when done correctly, it will be flourish in due time.
